The base model features a 2.4-liter engine that produces 181 horsepower. This amount of power is more than adequate for everyday driving and allows this model to achieve an impressive EPA-estimated 23 MPG city and 30 highway MPG. However, if you are someone who needs more power, there is a Sportage model that comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that increases the horsepower to 240 and makes for a very quick and responsive driving experience.
