How Long Does It Take to Test a Car Battery in Erie?

Testing your car's battery is a simple but important part of car maintenance. Over time, batteries lose power. Extreme cold and hot temperatures in winter and summer could make them lose their power faster. Low voltage could result in your car not starting.

Testing the battery only takes a couple of minutes. Open the car's hood. Use a voltage meter and connect its black probe to the battery's negative terminal. Connect the red probe with the positive terminal. If the voltage reading is less than 12.6, you probably need a new car battery.

If you don't have a voltage meter to test your battery, visit our service center in Erie at Auto Express KIA. We can test your car battery test for you. If the voltage is low or the cold cranking amps are low, we will install a new replacement battery at your request.
